Most of my practice is here in North Texas, but I’m also licensed to practice law in Colorado (Attorney Reg. No. 53283). I represent people charged with crimes in Gilpin County Court and Colorado’s First Judicial District. Charges I handle in Colorado

• DUI and DWAI. Mountain highways and casino traffic make DUI one of the most common charges in Gilpin County. I challenge the stop, the roadside tests, and the breath or blood results. I also represent clients at DMV express consent hearings, where the deadline to request a hearing can be as short as 7 days.
• Casino and gaming offenses. These include theft of chips or credits, cheating, fake IDs, underage gaming, and trespass after being barred. These cases often turn on surveillance footage and casino security reports.
• Assault and domestic violence. Under Colorado’s mandatory arrest law, one 911 call can lead to charges and a protection order.
• Drug charges and other misdemeanors and felonies.
